Being too scared to open the front door is very likely for the latter half of this century Dan.
Briefly listening to your leader James Nob on LBC and he and his listeners way of downplaying the boat crisis is that
1) it’s only 4% of the overall immigration figure and
2) 70% of them will be genuine asylum claims.
1) Maybe it is 4%. But the overall number is too high, that 4% of that high number isn’t being dealt with and they will be placed in more and more places around the country and on our doorsteps. Then there’s the cost of it all, the fact they’re nearly all 20 something men that some of them put local women and girls at risk. Figures back this up.
2) Bullsh1t 70% are genuine asylum seekers. If they were genuine the processing would be so fast we’d have a problem of a different kind. Most of them throw their real identities into the sea.
Then he goes onto dark people and crime and how on earth can you can be more disturbed over dark people committing sex crimes than white people. Oh that’s ok then. Let’s have more. And again there’s numerical evidence that the men from these countries have committed more sex crimes.
Oh and it’s all hate hate hate.
Over 70% will be granted some sort of permission to stay. No way are 70% genuine asylum seekers, I would put the figure at below 20%, just my opinion, of course

Yes, probably more like it. Genuine and nothing to hide or lie about their country of origin but papers get thrown overboard and processing takes forever.

Not just your opinion mate. I work with them every day of the week. I would say under 20% is correct. The most correct term I've ever heard is economic migrants.
Where we're taking them from, we may as well, for example, be taking people from Detroit. I would put South Africa but, ironically, they make up a huge contingent already. Some don't even bother to lie where they come from as they know they can easily still easily get through the process - despite being from somewhere which might not be great but is certainly not a war or famine stricken country.
As I say, the murder rate is off the scale in Detroit - if we take South Africans then why not them?
Got my first US one recently anyway - forgot to post about it. A middle aged woman came to Ireland with nothing. Fleeing Trump. She went to the International Protection Office in Dublin. I hope they told her to f*** off. She wasn't the right colour anyway. I have no idea of the outcome but I can guess.
I would say 90% of the immigrants I meet have lived in England for years anyway. Had one from Coventry this year and one from Birmingham. A Bangladeshi and a Nigerian. The Bangladeshi told me Birmingham was "no good". So obviously not stupid. How that becomes Ireland's problem is anybody's guess.
They are literally choosing where they want to go - may as well have a brochure. All facilitated by idiots. A large proportion of my students are immigrants now and it makes me dislike my job. There's no satisfaction in seeing fakers and frauds prosper. However, I do obviously meet genuine people but, as you say, they are not the majority. They are very much the minority.
Everyone's being fooled here. If you welcome someone entirely based on a lie in the first place - how do people think that will evolve? The lies are ingrained and will just continue. Get away with it and they will continue to get away with it.

I rent out one of my properties to a lovely Indian couple with two children and they both work full time jobs. They lovely people and came here legally! This is why I chose them.
I have said before I don't mind immigrants coming over and assimilating into our society. The ones that come over for benefits and the freebies and to rape our women and stabb people as farage said can be deported back to their countries.

This thread is about Immigration. But it is often overly simplistic. A Polish plumber or a Spanish software engineer are probably much better Citizens than many current UK-born citizens.

‘Take people as you find them’
Still have an issue over the numbers and growing, quietly changing the country into that of an African and Asian one. Why? Why should we? We and the people in favour of this don’t expect elsewhere to.
This is the sensible view and approach on immigration that I think most people on either side of the political spectrum would agree with.
My issue is with those who lump all immigration into the same category (or at the very least non-white immigration) and either can’t, or don’t want to, differentiate between those who want to get on and those who do want to try and milk the system and/or commit crimes.
We are also on a slippery slope towards an ever more hostile environment toward anyone in this country who isn’t white, no matter what their background, how long they’ve been here, or how long they intend to stay. I’ve had mates who are second/third generation immigrants put up with an increasing level of sh*t from emboldened w*nkers who feel more comfortable being outwardly hostile to them because of the political climate.
Being told to ‘go home’ or asked ‘where are you really from’ just because you’re not completely white is deeply unpleasant and makes people not feel at home in the country they are literally born and bred in. My nan and grandad were from Cork, but funnily enough no one has ever told me to f*ck off back to Ireland.

Hmmm, why would 43% of British people think the legal migrants don’t share the same values and 69% think illegal migrants don’t share the same values?
I expect this figure to rise, reach a peak, then when the country has changed even more, that figure to start dropping. Eventually the question won’t be asked.
