short names for our kits

There's the Don Rogers, which saves an awful lot of time instead of saying 'you know the all white one with the claret and blue vertical stripe'. Similarly we know which one we mean when we say the Johnny Byrne kit. Now what of our claret with blue pinstripe. And our current red and blue stripes - and our kits with red shorts. The diagonal is the diagonal. So here are my suggestions for the others:

Claret with sky blue pinstripes and primrose collar and cuffs. the John McCormick kit
Red and blue vertical stripes, blue shorts. the 'Barcelona' (or 'the one we've got now')
Red and blue vertical stripes, red shorts. the Geoff Thomas kit
All red with blue trim - the Goldberg abomination
All white with red and blue vertical stripe - the Conor Wickham (scored at Mourinho's Chelsea)

we already have the Brazil kit done, then the there's the black diagonal, the 1861, the black epaulette, and the red and blue halves speaks for itself, the promotion kit, the Conor Gallagher and that one under Allardyce the all blue with red down the middle a la Ajax or early 70s Birmingham I'm not going to bother with and would prefer to block from my memory.

Suggestions for the others? 🙂

Yellow and Black stripes, the 666 shirt.

John McCormick kind of agree, but to me, that's the Gerry Queen kit.

For me, last seasons black kit will always be The Munoz kit. For a start I’ve got his name on the back, but also every time I wore it to a game after receiving it as a Christmas present, I saw his wife outside the ground(coincidence, not stalking) and the great man scored. I then wore it at the semi and final and we all know what happened there 😎

In the Rolling Stones in Exile documentary Bill Wyman can be seen wearing the claret & blue shirt with blue trim. No one else is likely to claim it so he'll do.

I presume someone has said that the diagonal is The Sash. So has a short name. Players, I don't know. First that I see in my mind is Cannon. It's a kit that started off great until eventually fading into division two obscurity and beyond. I remember when the Sash was probably what most football fans associated us with. But no longer.

Red & blue stripes with the badge in the middle = Peter Taylor
Original sash shirt = Vince Hilaire
Yellow & Blue Brazil kit = Yannick Bolasie
White shirt with red & blue panels & old badge = Bobby Kellard

I always think of it as the Kenny Sansom kit, but I could go with Vince as well
it's the sash or diagonal, you don't need a player's name for that one, someone described our classic Barca replica as the Peter Taylor, but some of his most iconic performances were in the sash, hard to pick a player's name for our familiar red and blue stripes, the 'Ian Evans' maybe? Not the Derek Jeffries, Jeff Johnson or Stewart Jump. But a short name for our 'familiar red and blue stripes' would be good.

it's the 'cup winning kit' I'm afraid - oops sorry, the black one, OK, you've got it, the 'Munoz' it is, or it should be if anyone apart from you remembers it
