Good, I notice you have no 'w' on the end of your name, one infers that your moniker clearly does not pertain to the batsman's instrument, lest your appreciation of said practitioner been more apposite and you would be regularly smothered in linseed oil.

You are perfectly correct in assuming that my moniker does not pertain to a batter's instrument.It was not a typographical error when I registered with this cherished site.
Apropos 'Linseed oil', back in the day purchasers of new 'Willows' used to stand them up in a bowl of this product to allow it to permeate the wood.

One slight factor in England's favour is that Smith and Overton are Surrey players as is Atkinson the next man in.Familiarity with you home ground is useful. I'm hoping we don't have to rely on a Tongue lashing.

England should win. But the overnight delay will have helped the bowlers more than the batsmen. Smith is pretty good and I would trust Atkinson to hit a few. I don't trust Overton to do anything at all. Presumably he will now hit the winning runs to prove me wrong.
It's hilarious how they play Jerusalem before the day. The Indian crowd bemused.

The overcast conditions was helping them late in the evening.....that and some loss of bottle by us.

If the weather's good for an hour this is a piece of cake.
 
21 needed. At this run rate, England might well get the win before Tea, 🙂
