England v India cricket.

England's bowlers are overtly second best to India's in our own fecking conditions.

Woakes being picked as a mistake......A year too far.
Bashir has been picked and he has talent but he's not the best spinner in England....just in the top ten.....Dawson should be playing.
Crawley should have been dropped twenty caps ago.

Woakes has been a good player but he's 36 and there must be a younger option who can also bat a bit.
Agree on Bashir and Crawley needs to go and work on his technique, if he's ever going to be a proper test opener that is.

Certainly should be an option. And he's left handed which is a bonus. I've never been particularly convinced by his bowling, can't say why, but fair play to him he does have the knack of taking wickets

Our current selection panel are a little stuck in their ways.

When I look at the talent coming through there is reason to be optimistic.....there is plenty of batting talent but I know that it's the bowling that's often the difference.....I think the pickings have been relatively lean in recent years but I'm encouraged by what's emerging now at England under 19 and above, Baker, Boyden. French....of the older options I think we will see Turner and Gilchrist at some point.

They still tend to prefer a bowler who can supposedly bat instead of going for the best bowlers. You'd think 1-8 should be able to do the job and 9,10, Jack can make a difference to the opposition score.

We need a good spinner and given time and encouragement Bashir may well fulfill that position he has worked hard today and hasn't gone for much.Leach holds theposition at Somerset and unfortunately blocks Bashir from regular County cricket.

Danny Briggs has been a bit unlucky not to get more chances for England.

Who's that rather brash other British asian bowler they were playing?....leg spinner.

I'd have him around the England team, talented and can bat a bit.....though at the moment I think Dawson is probably number one.

I think Bashir is more for the future.
