Palace potentially denied entry to Europa League?

Hopefully CAS will tell EUFA to f off. They we're only concerned about restoring Lyon to the top league as competition as otherwise it would be even weaker than it already is. What annoys me is that decison though is irrelevant. The multi ownership is the only point and Textor unlike the Greek at Forest had no real influence at all on Palace policies. Textor has only been trying to sell his shares for 10 months!!! So what happens when EUFA realise that Brondy and Palace have joint owners? It will probably be news to EUFA. "Err, you mean there are joint owners?Ooh la la, monsieur!!"

The saga will go on whilst Palace remain in no mans land!!!

There's a lot of justfiable anger about this decision, but looking at it objectively we weren't as prepared as other clubs.
Of course there are valid reasons why we weren't prepared, but at the same time it needs to be acknowledged that we didn't take the necessary steps and have learnt a harsh lesson.

I suppose the argument is, and will continue to be, why would we take the blind trust route if Textor did not have decisive control of Palace?

I may be mistaken but there is a UEFA definition of what decisive control means and I’m not sure we meet that criteria.

Purely on a practical point. If it stays like this I think we might have the following games:

21st Aug UEFA Conference qualifying
24th Aug Premier League vs Forest (H)
28th Aug UEFA Conference qualifying

Whatever happens I think history will be kind to us, one more stone hitting the dam... one day it might break.
Why would WE be qualifying? As i asked earlier on this thread, we had gone straight to the league phase of the EL, ie, we don't have to qualify. Forest on the other hand went into the 3rd qualifying round of the ConL, so, why should we have to qualify? Just asking.

Being a Palace fan just does your head in doesn't it? The pain dulls with each blow below the belt until you just don't feel a kick in the balls anymore.
Yes mate. It's just so Palace. It's almost like we're in purgatory until we shuffle off this mortal coil and into the kingdom of Europa League 😎

There are no positives.

Playing Thursday Sunday, no prize money, no attraction to prospective signings, a good reason for players to leave and uninteresting opposition.
The Conference is a pointless competition other than to make more money for UEFA. It is the European equivalent of the ZDS Cup.

The Europa has a direct route to the Champions League.
Politely and strongly disagree. European football experience, fan awaydays, increased revenue for the club, increased awareness for the best club in the world, potential to get a place in the Europa League if we win. If we do well we would enjoy it.
Urgh the ZDS would have to get brought up again. No No No the ZDS was just one big embarassment and only mattered at the time as we had won nothing else. You could only compete in the Full Member's Cup if you failed to make it into Europe - it was for the 'also rans'. Whereas you can only compete in Europe if you have won a domestic cup or done well in a league position.
Qualifying for Europe is a sign of success, qualifying for the ZDS was a sign of failure. Oh and it was all of 34 years ago as well, leave it there. We need a HOL swear box asap!

No idea. I could be completely wrong... was just trying to decipher the conference league games schedule on the tossers website

But they happily invented the blind trust rule for them the season before, as their investers were 'concerned'.

The rule wasn't there before, so they made it up for them, corrupt wankers.

You send the U21s.
We owe UAEFA nothing. Save the first team until a match worth playing them in.
