Did Forest win the FA Cup? No?!!! So yes - they have no case. And they want to play dirty well they seem to have much closer links to Lyon than Palace do!

I think their lack of case would come more from the fact that Palace evidencing the lack of control from Textor would be something Forest couldn't contradict very easily.
 
uefa could have sorted all this back in may , before we won the cup , they are gutless , if the rule could not be challenged they would have said we are out , poor piss poor on there part
 
So Aulas who sold Lyon to Textor, is the honorary President of Lyon. I believe He may a,so be Vice President of the French Football Federation! No major conflict of interest there then!,

My view is Forest have no case, they are not a party to dispute. It would be like us going to court and saying Forest's points deduction last season was too little. Forest did not qualify end of argument.
Looking at Lyon decision this may give way out for all sides. Effectively Lyon have argued that the new management structure will allow them to run on sustainable basis. The fact that this was accepted means it is logical that the management changes at Palace can be argued to remove the perceived interest of an owners control.
Also there is an argument that club who benefitted most from the Eagle Football player sales is Forest who have taken at least 3 players at what may be described as below market prices. Some of these were players named in the Lyon payments reports. I feel that Both French authorities and UEAFA have an anti Textor bias. He has left us and in my view will sell all interests in Lyon when a buyer appears.

All these together may be enough to make UEAFA allow both clubs into Europa and finding a way to avoid a court of arbitration decision. They may set in some safeguards we cannot be in same qualifying league or meet in first round of knockouts. Or possibly put pressure on FA to do proper person tests rapidly so sale of shares is finalised. I still think this is a dispute they don't want or need so will try and find a solution. I am not sure Palace will accept demotion to conference without a fight unless they were given an incentive possibly a financial settlement or guarantee of Europa following season
