They are dangerous too, not in the highway code and both drivers and pedestrians don't understand the right of way. There's a rainbow one outside the old Gloucester prison on the main road and many people have had near misses and the likes because they think it's an actual zebra crossing painted gay pride but it's not a legal crossing and cars don't need to stop.
