Starmer..what a joke on the world stage

If the Tories did all the work and Labour just took the credit, do you not think they might have mentioned it?
I think this is one for the history books. When the government papers are released we will if Labour's final deal was different from the Tory proposal if yes by what.

To answer your question I do recollect that some Tories have claimed credit.

Those with a point or those with an axe?

He's still on telly promoting immigration.

He is a loathsome individual. He talks and talks and does nothing.

Today's speech is from a place where Labour have cancelled elections.

we have heard anti-Keir chanting at football matches and at the Darts. I reckon the boom will be deafening this weekend - at all venues.

And as soon as that happens, the other Labour politicians will have the knives out for him. That is, the few politicians that have not already got the knives in hand.

Starmer is not a paedo. Mandelson didn't touch the little things Epstein could provide as he is of the wrong sexual orientation. Nevertheless, Starmer may lose his job by the most tenuous of associations.

Not because we are 18 months on and nobody is better off.

Politics, huh?

Politics ok in football now then?

It's a tough gig and guilt by association is a difficult thing to throw off. In this case even if it's not a proven fact that Mandelson was passing information to Epstein the question remains - why was he appointed to such a high profile position after the previous embarrassment(s) he'd caused his party?

I suspect, if required, Epstein could provide young men. Starmer probably is not a paedo ( didn’t they say the same about Saville?) but it would seem he has some Ukrainians, sorry skeletons in his closet.
It’s got to the stage where it is very difficult to believe anything he says, going against Security Services recommendation not to give Mandleson the job, was, at best, incompetent, at worse well who knows! Having been through a FO vetting process I know they leave no stone unturned

The thing is, silvertop, this is just the latest in a very long line of misjudgements by the PM. 12 u-turns where he hasn't done due diligence on the potential outcomes of his decision making and now this. I think if you asked anybody about Mandleson they would have said he is not appropriate for the US ambassador job, but Starmer gave it to him.
The only reason I could see for it is that his position would give him diplomatic immunity and he could be 'protected' until something like WW3 started and he would be forgotten about.
Starmer is toast but probably not until after the May elections when the party can start anew.

interesting question. I guess, when the politics is coming from the crowd, spontaneously ? there is a few thousand years of history of that....right back to Roman Amphitheatres. Left wing or right wing...i dont care.

When the politics is top-down ? a big screen over the stadium with a morality lecture. All orchestrated by some elites at the FA, Government or other. That's a bit offensive.

You pay money to watch a football match. What you choose to scream should be relatively unfettered. You do not pay to have Gary Lineker lecturing you on recycling your plastics into the correct receptacles.

What I look for in a politician is similar to a referee - consistency.

And this is where Starmer delivers - he’s a joke on Domestic Stage as well
yes but oh what fantastic work Starmer has done to forge international links.

He gets on well with Macron, Trudeau, Jacinda Ardern, Biden, whatever irish PM this week, Ursula van der Lying, Merkel, Zelenski, and that Spanish PM who let half a million refugees in the door.
