Immigration

yup. Its a bit like Trump & Brexit. Huge numbers of people.....all keeping quiet about their Conservative values.
For example......Who would be insane enough to criticise the LGBTQ freight train in their own workplace ? or Halal meat, or to be an Anti-vaxxer, or disinterested in waving a Palestine flag...... Assuming you really needed to keep a job and a salary.
We are now living in a new McCarthy Era.
Someone pointed out the other day how quiet the animal cruelty lobby groups are about Halal meat. I must admit it hadn't occurred to me, but they are right.

How many foxes get killed each year by the hunts? Thousands, Hundreds? More like a handful. If I was to organise a fox hunt in Beckenham or go on social media to say I will humanely kill the family that leave in our back garden (they really do) there would be hundreds outside my home protesting.

Yet each day how many animals are slaughtered by this barbaric method you get the occasional press release about how they oppose it but nothing like the attention of "Toffs in red kill foxes".

Occasionally when I use my phone, I catch a post by Wisbech before I’m signed in.

I notice that he still tries to pretend that opinions posted on here are not representative. Has the deluded one not noticed that Reform are ahead in the polls?
Has he forgotten Brexit?

He complains endlessly and yet still keeps wasting people’s time with his gibberish. Anyone who engages only has themselves to blame.

Praise be to the ignore button.
Reform are ahead in the polls for the same reasons that any new and untested party has a surge. Remember the LibDems?

The Tories got rejected and Labour now has to do the actual governing, whilst it’s Reform now doing the theoretical governing.

None of that has the slightest connection to core beliefs. We are a country of middle of the road people, not full of those from extremes.

That this place happens to have a group from one of the extremes, who sometimes delude themselves into believing they are mainstream, is just a fact.

All the complaining is done by them.

If that’s regarded as gibberish then we need to rewrite the dictionary.

This isn’t something I have thought about so I did a bit of quick research. It seems, as now with all regular slaughter, most animals for Halal meat are now pre-stunned.

“The latest Food Standards Agency figures show an estimated 30.1 million animals will be slaughtered without pre-stunning in 2024:

  • 26.7 million meat chickens (2.8% of total slaughtered)
  • 3.1 million sheep (28.8% of total slaughtered)
  • 35,000 cattle (1.9% of total slaughtered)
The UK government doesn't have a legal requirement to ensure all animals are stunned before slaughter.

  • Around 88% of animals slaughtered in the UK for Halal are stunned first.
  • All animals slaughtered under the Shechita (for Kosher) are non-stunned.”
The bigger issue therefore seems to be Kosher meat, not Halal.

The self-awareness is highly commendable.

Only if you live in a fantasy world which denies the obvious “group think” that exists here and the ganging up and rotational fouling that is a regular feature. Not all groups require membership cards.
The gift that keeps on giving!

Not likely really as there is going to be a far smaller population of Jews in the UK than Muslims. And of them, not all will be strict enough to care about Kosher. Although similarly not all Muslims will care about Halal, there are going to be millions of them that do. The entire Jewish population of the UK is going to be a couple of hundred thousand, maybe a bit more. There are also not going to be as large an amount of Kosher slaughterhouses as Halal ones. Nowhere near. I haven't looked it up but it's just common sense.

rotational Trolling begets rotational fouling. What percentage of your words, on this thread today , actually mention (or discuss) Immigration ? 1% of the words ? or even less than that ?

WISBECH IS TROLLING THE THREAD WITH IRRELEVANT SHYTE, AGAIN.

You need to get a grip and direct your gripes to those who wander off thread. I am merely responding to comments made by other posters.

Wandering off thread is very common here, and in every forum. Most times there is a tenuous connection to begin with which then gets lost.

As you do it yourself I look forward to reading your complaints about your own posts.

Better keep an eye on all your diverse neighbours.
It must have taken a lot of adjusting and adapting to have neighbours from Yorkshire and Nottingham. All those new cultural practices. Often hearing ‘’I say what I like and I like what I bloody well say’’ and ‘’Hey up me duck’’

I’ll give him Nigeria though, but you cannot compare it to Somalia for example. Women dressed from head to toe spitting in the street with their kids. Always someone on a bus with the speaker on during a fecking loud conversation in whatever language. I swear some of them do it as a feck you lot.
