All I know is that I want to avoid a newly promoted club or a big club on day 1.

An away game against a mid-table(ish) team that you would hope to win but could live with it if we didn't. On that basis I am going to choose Aston Villa away for game 1.

We always play Brentford in the first three games though...

I’ll take 9th and 58 points for us though, especially if we have had the Europa league to squeeze in as well
