Chant for Forest games next season

I recall us singing this to Steve Bruce once, to the tune of "1-0, and you f**ked it up":

Evangelos, takes it up the ar5e,
Evangelos, takes it up the ar5e... so on and so forth.

We'll probably be frowned upon by the political correctness army however it's succinct so everybody could join in and I'd imagine it would wind him up magnificently.

It wouldn't be politically incorrect if you sang a song about a lady liking it in her front bottom, so surely suggesting that someone else likes a bit of backdoor is not politically incorrect. If anything, it'd be discriminatory to not include all bedroom preferences in our choir book.

*The above hasn't been ratified by a grown up.

One you might already know the tune to -

The famous Marinakis went to Nyon to see some blokes, and this is what they said - f*** OFF!
Whose that team they call the Palace whose that team whose going abroad. We’re the boys in Red and Blue…..

You know the rest… Just for them, Alan Mullary can have a couple of weekends off.

A convenient storm in a tea cup for the papers this is. Nothing more. In Steve we trust.

No one wants to prevent us playing it’s just a case of building an argument around the wording which they have done. There are already precedence set by others.

A catchy song for Forest would be good bants.

As someone already said we’d be asking for clarification if there was any chance of a slightly larger budget too. Another storm in a tea cup. Leaked from their club, a via a journalist having a dig/guess. ‘Keep the printer spinning’ 😂

Something I am proud about as a Palace fan is that we don't goad opposition fans very much (despite my contribution to this). We have a wide variety of songs about our team and we stick to supporting them.

I sat near the Watford fans for an evening game once where they sang about their hatred for Zaha for almost the entire 90 minutes. It was obsessive and peculiar. To this day I actually put them number 1 on the list when people ask me who the most backward fans are in football.

If Dennis Waterman were to write the theme tune:

Europe could be good for you,
Marinakis,
We Love Europe like you wanted to,
Marinakis,
Ooh, oooooooooh, ooooh, Europe could be good for you.

You sent a letter to- to UEFA,
Da, da, da, da, da da, da.
Right people, right time,
Just wrong league location.
Da, da, da, da da, da.

Europe could be good for you,
Marinakis.
We love Europe like you wanted to Marinakis,

Ooh, oooooooooh, Europe could be good for you. Marinakis - Dah, dah, dah dah, da.
Brilliant. Got me singing that one

Palace keep doing a number on them such as 2013 play off final and 2016 cup semi final and more often than not we beat them in the prem league. No wonder they hate us. Unfortunately oppo fans have low opinion of Zaha as he reputation unfairly or not of going down too easily.

Watford have tried copying our singing section etc, secretly they want to be Palace

Yeah totally get why they don't like him but just felt some more positivity towards their own players/team would have worked better. They lost 2-1 which was absolute daylight (floodlight) robbery as we'd only gotten into their half twice, both in the last ten minutes or so. It was joyous to see their little faces though. I know I am meant to say Brighton have the worst fans, but Watford are just weird.

Yeah agree with all of that. Often surprises me how obsessed other fan bases are with singing about their oppo rather than backing their team. Must've been 15 of the away sides had cracked out 'du du du football in a library' by the 15th minute mark this year before they all tend to run out of steam by half time and sit on their hands second half. There wasn't one song about the oppo in either of the Wembley games and I can't even think of a Brighton or Millwall reference.

I did think Forest singing 'Champions League awaits for me' would bite them on the arse though. I get they were excited but they'd lost 4 of their previous 5 before that (including beating Spurs and going out of the FA Cup) and after our game blew it against Leicester. Had they not started the party so early, and instead carried on instilling a bit of urgency, perhaps they wouldn't need to be writing letters to find out which competition they'll be in.

Remember that game well. Your right it was day light robbery. Brilliant 🤩
