How stable do you think the world will look if they get nukes?

This was inevitable. There is no way Israel, or the US, will let Iran threaten them.
If the Iranian government ever falls, the majority of Iranians will celebrate.

The problem is that The US isn't very good at what comes after.

This a very different to the HAMAS conflict. You can't help but feel the USA is backing this, given Iran's backing of terrorist groups and the protracted discussions over Iran's nuclear capability.
Iran look ready to catapult a few goats and sheep in response, because they are probably aware of the consequences of an all-out attack on Israel.
And the USA probably benefits from a weapons test ground, and also seeing what Iran's capabilities might be.

Nobody stopped India or Pakistan getting nuclears, or even North Korea. Perhaps significant more danger to Iran comes from their close ties to renegade terrorist groups. Everyone is trying to outguess the other countries.
And in that context, I can see the USA using Israel as it's proxy. It lessens to risk to the USA main land.

Lets hope sense will prevail.

Don't be ridiculous. Striking an enemy where they can be rendered impotent is efficient. Iran have sworn to wipe them off the earth and are enriching uranium to do just that.
