War in Ukraine

Obviously not 🤣

He can carry on posting all the unfounded bollocks he wants. As long as he can handle being called out on it when it turns out to be bollocks.

Which his last post very much suggests he can’t. Another right winger with a fragile ego.

So does Team Russia agree with their party line that these attacks against them were ‘terrorist attacks’?

Drones hidden in a truck. Very well played. However, it's opened the door to all sorts of clandestine operations with drones.
i am slightly confused at to why the UK Government has put money into UK munitions factories. I thought the arms industries were self-funding and very profitable ?

Let's hope these UK factories are making top of the range drones, for our military, and not just shipping them out to the highest bidder.
If these factories are making drones, let's hope they themselves do not become a target for mass drone attacks.
~They seem like the smart weapon to use for assassinations, or taking localised targets out.
Not only that, but they are battery powered, so are environmentally friendly with minimal emissions to air, compared to aviation fuelled drones, 🙂

I think most of us on Team Russia/Not being an idiot, would most definitely recognise that Ukraine are fully entitled to hit back at Russia or carry out operations in Russia (not aimed at civilians).

My concern is with our nation's involvement and with escalation in wars that are kept going for no benefit to us. Starmer can build as many factories as he likes but we have no air defence for them and acting like we are at war with Russia is like tempting them to hit us.......If they did I don't think America would do anything about it.

My understanding is that this Ukrainian attack was very successful....bully for them.....However, that means that things are going to escalate and that any peace is likely extremely unlikely now.

I certainly think today changed the game....However, in what way and to whose benefit we shall find out.

Oh dear. Given his own experiences in life, I suspect he can more than handle anything you throw at him. I know nothing about his ego, so can’t comment but do know we all owe him a big debt

So? It is possible to have respect for someone’s past as well as call them out for utter nonsense. Anyway, absolutely nothing to do with the topic…enjoy your week.

Spot on, NATO is finished, America would do nothing if a Nuclear strike was made anywhere in Europe, including the UK, for America now its self preservation.

When President Vance takes over?
If you listen to the reasoning of those like John Bolton that seems unlikely.

The dissatisfaction with Trump is going to increase as the impact of tariffs bites. That should mean the control of the House returning to the Democrats in the mid terms.

The Republicans will then begin to distance themselves from Trump and look to choose a healer as their candidate in 2024. Vance will be as tainted as Harris was in 2024.

A time traveller presumably - Dr. Who?

Reuters published the conditions that Kiev outlined in its plan to end the war:

▪️A complete ceasefire for 30 days;

▪️A prisoner exchange based on the "all for all" formula;

▪️A meeting between Zelensky and Putin;

▪️Kiev and Moscow, with the participation of the United States and Europe, will work to develop conditions under which they can agree to end the war.

▪️No restrictions on military power for Ukraine after the conclusion of a peace agreement;

▪️No international recognition of Russia's sovereignty over the captured territories of Ukraine;

▪️ Russia paying reparations;

That last one is insane and essentially just plays into the reality that either Europe/US nor Russia want the war to end right now.

Regardless, massively successful drone attack or not, Russia took 60 square killometres of territory yesterday.

That's the conclusion I've reached as well.

We grow increasingly bellicose, when we are nothing like the force that we were back in the eighties when I grew up, all mouth and trousers....thanks to both the Tories and Labour.

The whole NATO story and what happened after 1991 has had a lot of scrutiny and nothing post Berlin wall has worked out well.....the neo cons have had their way on enlargement and brought us to this mess.

I grew up in a cold war and these freaking idiots have put us right back in one....extremely dangerous. A lot of people don't know how close the world came to ending on more than one occasion during the last one.....These people won't stop rolling the dice.

Great for American weapons manufacturers though.
