Wembley to Gatwick airport?

About 2 hours, train to Victoria, tube Green Park (Victoria line) change tube to Wembley Park (Jubilee Line)
Just check for maintenance on tube lines
I did it in about 1 hours 15 mins last week.

Train straight to London bridge station and then jubilee line straight there.

Or you can do train to Clapham junction and train to Wembley central in the same time.

Its getting away from the Stadium that will be the problem, allow yourself time to queue for at least 30 mins getting into the station.
And hope it doesn't go to extra time or pens 😯🙊

After the game last week I walked to Stonebridge station and bypassed the crowds. It's 20 minute walk and is probably a much of a muchness.

Alternatively train from Gatwick Airport to Clapham Junction then London Overland to Willesden then Bakerloo Line to Wembley Central. Wembley Central is a 14min walk from the stadium but doesnt have the massive wait that to get into the station you get with going via Wembley Park. This route will take between 1hr 8mins to 1hr 19mins.
check out www.trainline.com but you can book with any train operator and not pay a booking fee as opposed to trainline.com where you do.

Yes its the getting away, i always go north on the underground 1 stop cross over and go south, that way I have always had a seat on the tube
Thats a smart thing to do, but also going to Wembley Central.
Wembley park is like driving round in circles waiting for the closest carpark space when a bit further away you get one quicker. Wembley Central is the smart station to leave from if going by public transport.

I'm coming up from Sussex and still pondering the best option for getting away. Been to Wembley with Palace a couple of times but can't remember what I did. When we get out of the stadium is it a separate queue/system to head out towards Wembley Central or is there some element of unavoidable queuing regardless of which station you're headed for? On the way there I don't care too much, planning to get a train up to London Victoria for a bite to eat without any riff raff football fans singing smutty songs then probably going to head up via Green Park to Wembley Park. Way back I am happy to tube hop from Wembley Central.
