Crystal Palace vs. Nottingham Forest match thread

I thought Hughes was superb when he came on. I still say that he and Wharton are our best partnership in the middle and I hope they are for the Cup Final but I suspect OG will go with Kamada.

Happy with the point. I thought we played well and playing well is vital for momentum going into the Cup Final. The Forest number 6 was so lucky to stay on the pitch.

Ironically both Mateta and Chris Wood who have both been superb all season were both very poor tonight.

Glasner mentioned in the pre game interview that he likes a left and right footer in midfield and Hughes and Wharton are both left footers.
 
Not always a fan of xG but it does show who had the clearer, better chances.

2.5 to their 0.7 does show we could have won that tonight. However with a big cup final on the horizon I’d rather play reasonably well and be disappointed with a draw than relieved to have stolen one.
 
I did say at the beginning that Sky reported that Palace are 20th for converting xG to actual goals, and Forest are 1st. This really did play out, we had 2.42 and they had .75, so 3-1 to us would've been reflective of reasonable conversion
