Yes agree near perfect day. Three excellent goals and solid defence again. Knocking on heaven’s door here. Also if I was not born and bred Palace I would choose Fulham as the best place to watch football in London, lovely stadium and riverside setting is glorious.
However minor gripes.. colleagues have already covered the diving by Muniz and pettiness of Silva but how come they stopped away supporters from bringing flags and then issued every home supporter with one. Are flags dangerous or not perhaps just south london ones?). Thank goodness they didn’t have cause to use them after the prematch but our balloons were still pretty impressive!
Second what was the PA on about Fulham being London’s oldest club for, just to disrespect Palace and our well researched heritage back to the Crystal Palace staff cricket team in 1860s? Seems like no tricks missed to load dice in Fulham’s favour.
And then of course the minor issue of Daren England getting the referee gig, how many yellow cards was that for the Fulham fouls on Eze etc v the three harsh yellows for Wharton, Richard and Lacroix? Darren please bear in mind that when you play advantage for outrageous physical challenges like the one on Munoz that doesn’t mean you should not come back with a yellow after the event.
Nice day despite all that! Proud to be Palace
