I stumbled on this tonight. Written almost exactly a year ago it postulates on the outcome of a Trump win, it’s affect on NATO, on us and our future. Written by a senior research fellow at the Royal United Services Institute it’s chilling reading, because we know that so much of what it anticipated has already happened. If it was right on them what chance of everything else proving accurate?

I fully expect at least one “celebrity politician” to have arranged to have their name removed!

We cannot have the image of the orange superhero dented by the truth of his sleaze. Just as he cannot be prosecuted for his illegal activities.

Both he and Clinton have been named but are not, so far, accused of any wrongdoing. The lists are a bit misleading since they contain the names of the investigators and victims.
Whatever comes out today is unlikely to clarify very much and will probably stir up prurient interest.

I suspect that in most cases it's not wrong doing but will highlight poor judgement driven by greed.

Someone you don't know offers you free flights in their private jet and a free holiday on their island. Most of us norms would think hang on what's his game.

Whether they did anything illegal I have no idea but why on earth would rich and powerful people put themselves in that position of potential blackmail just for a free flight.

Prince Andrew is a prime example, he has been sticking his snout in the trough for decades and doesn't seem to ask questions when people throw freebies his way.

I have a feeling it will just be anti climatic.

Won't be anyone new that we already thought. And the legacy media will print it as a footnote at the bottom of the page.

The guy must have a crystal ball !

We need to rearm now. It wil be expensive, but it is cheaper to do so - and maybe prevent a war - than the cost of actually having to fight one !

It looks that way and that the government has got the message.

Whether they can achieve a political consensus on it so it doesn’t get knocked off track by populist opportunism remains to be seen.

I am not unhopeful. The Tories have enough wise minds and background voices to accept the need and Farage, despite him having many unattractive attributes, also has some principles.
