Crystal Palace vs. Liverpool match thread

Be honest. Is anyone, even in some small part, prepared to accept a heavy defeat today to ensure the manager is changed?

Or, would you be happy for us to nick a result if it prolongs Sage's time?

I never want to see Palace beat so would be delighted with something at Anfield, I just can't see it. My guess is that we will concede early and then it's game over. The fat lady is clearing her throat.

I wonder what SP would do if Sage somehow oversees a victory today.

For me it would be too late - should have gone after the Brighton game.

But whatever cant see it - so Sage will be gone tomorrow after another loss.

I have this gut feeling Parish is embarrassed to pull the plug before Carrick or Glasner is fired. Sage should hope those boys keep their jobs before the floodgates open.

Its because sacking Sage is only half of the equation. Is there anyone decent and available to bring in that is better than Sage, thats the question. If SP cant answer that question there is no point sacking Sage.

We have been in much worse situations over the years, some that ended in tears. Part of being a true supporter is putting up with the bad times, as well as the good times.

That being said...anyone remember the match where we lost 0-7 to Liverpool at Selhurst a few years ago under Roy. I can honestly say it's the only match I turned off just because I couldn't face to watch it anymore (I think it was 0-6 at that point). Everything Liverpool tried ended up in the back of the net.

This won't be the same (I hope).
This shows how much of a loyal supporter you are, to only turn your TV channel over to Antiques Roadshow at 6-0 down rather than 7. 😉

Yeah..!!

Frank and Howe for 2.

But I see Anthony Barry is now second favourite - does someone know something we don’t.

Barry is Tuchel’s assistant and is highly regarded.

OMG absolutely Fuckin not! That is not the talk of a fan. Wash your mouth out and delete your post quick otherwise Charlton awaits you!

Normally I would completely agree with you. In this case, however, I honestly do feel that any sensible caretaker would give this set of players a better chance of getting results. Whether that will be enough in the long run is another matter.
