But do they.

When your robots can do everything for you, what do you need to buy?

The issues would come before that stage anyway and involve around the protection of, and being protected from the technology.

There's a lot of crap to get through before all our descendents have to do all day is get wanked off by robots while we grow fat on robotic mobile recliners (though we won't actually get fat because drugs).

A lot of dangerous stuff before that stage.

Close to 120,000 people get shot every year in the States . 42/45,000 on average die the rest not much talked about but very often very seriously injured. In the whole period of the Vietnam war US killed was approx 50,000. Viewed purely by the stats you could ask which was the more dangerous situation.

What you tend to find with Republican owners of businesses is that they care more about making money then about pushing a Trump agenda.

Where people like Amanpour get frustrated and leave is that they cannot push an unsupported political agenda if it isn't going to pull in ratings. That she hasn't been relevant with most normal Americans since the Gulf War doesn't help her case either.

CBS is going through this now with Bari Weiss heading their news up and she is a Liberal but not far left enough to please the far left cult. If you don't completely agree with them on everything then you are evil. That is why Bluesky has failed as a platform, they couldn't handle it when people disagreed on anything so the moderates left and now it is a groupthink echo chamber.

It would probably have been better had he identified the rubbish specifically as a lazy dismissal just opened him up to your equally lazy response.

That said, I won't waste any time listening to the speech. Trump just makes stuff up on the spot. Much of his base laps it up. Those who oppose are appalled and much of his base rejoices in their revulsion. That ploy has worked very well for him for many years.

The problem for Trump is that much of his base are now becoming inured to his rhetoric; and much of it plain doesn't like it. I guess we will be having a litmus test of his current appeal very soon.

I've read Hitler, Stalin (Dialectical and Historical Materialism is a page turner) and Mao. Just because I don't agree with someone overall, it doesn't mean that I should disregard everything that they say.

When you ignore it all you lose credibility in the circumstances where they are actually correct. This has long been the issue with the left, they create their own fiction instead of actually listening to what is being said and then tearing the individual apart on what they actually said instead of what you fiction says they said.

It wasn't followed up due to a claim that the statue of limitations had expired, not that she was innocent. How very convenient Dem government decided not to prosecute Dem politician.

If DHS can prove that her parents lied about her age on the immigration form, she's gone.

Hitler, Stalin and Mao might have all been thoroughly objectionable but you cannot compare them intellectually with Trump. Trump doesn’t have an intellect. Nothing he says is ever worth listening to.
