Whatever plod did right or wrong I would question why the parents are ok with these kids to be out at 3am. Let alone riding an e-scooter.

Reading the article:

"Another man, who was also on the e-bike, received first aid after being injured in the crash."

So the child who was out riding an e bike with a man? at 3am. Surely there should be more than just a few questions asked?

Or am I reading it wrong? 🤔

That is another question. Probably a big brother or uncle with loads of common sense clearly !

How can you punish and 'Not allowed' are two different things. Goes without saying. And what do you mean "Now"?
 
It's always someone else's problem, The teachers, the police, a bad crowd.

Parents ship the blame all too easily. Jail the parents, sterilise them, and a lot of problems would diminish

And on an early Christmas note, perhaps killing the first-born of every family,....😀

No, I don't want to work it out. You seem to be implying that we can't punish children because we're 'not allowed'. Is that not what you meant, then?

Get the little fuckers indoors before 10pm and only let them out if the chores and homework is done.
If they don't want these rules of the house then tough fuckin luck, like it or lump it.
My two were brought up with these rules and are good responsible adults. Also my four step kids were brought up in the same manner with sod all complaints.
Trouble today is a lot of the time it's brats breeding super brats and that my friends is a fuckin loser hence these little c**** ruling the streets, pissing and whining about all and sundry.
That's the parents, never mind the super brat!

Totally to do with it. What punishment guarantees that a teenager will do anything? Had being very much the operative word.
You are not allowed to shout at, threaten or hit your children, you cannot lock them in. It is against the law and they will know it.
Increasingly, in today's society, whatever boundary you put on a child, they may not accept. There is little to coerce them to do so.
Of course, some kids are good and some aren't. It really isn't all upbringing at all. Increasingly, I see decent families with badly behaved kids.
