Crystal Palace vs. Newcastle match thread

Anyone mentions Dyche, I swear.......

The thing is, Sean Dyche gets a bad rap, but at least he plays to his team’s strengths.

He hardly had a squad full of world-beaters at Burnley, but he knew how to organise them and make them difficult to beat. Which is precisely what Sage should be doing now.

We’re shipping goals at an alarming rate, and the worrying thing is that once we concede one, another invariably follows. We don’t just concede goals, we offer them as part of a bloody multibuy deal.

The first thing any sensible manager does is make the team difficult to beat. Get some defensive organisation, stop giving away stupid goals and build from there.

Dyche understands that. His football might not be pretty, but at least there’s a coherent plan.

Meanwhile, Sage keeps playing a system that exposes every weakness we’ve got, seemingly hoping that eventually the opposition will stop noticing.

It’s not tactical genius we’re asking for. Just someone who can recognise the house is on fire and stop pouring petrol on it.

Honest question. But what Did Parish and the owners think would happen when they sold off the family jewels. I would genuinely like to know what he was thinking because he is Palace through and through and cannot like this anymore than we do. MG I got, end of contract, Eze I got, good money and to his child hood club, but selling Max was unforgivable in my mind as was buying and then swapping Johnson who should never have been purchased.
It can only be because he had to sell them. No other explanation makes sense.

As I've said many times, it all originates with lack of numbers and leaders in midfield. Lose the key area of the pitch and the game is lost. Try and compensate with 3 centre halves and gimmick wingbacks but it doesn't cut the mustard. This system was found out late 2025 after Glasner said he was off, and that was with Lacroix and Munoz in the side. Look at Forest now, bottom 3. It's s*** system that's had its day and for some reason Sage keeps playing an even worse version of it. It's almost as if he doesn't know what else to do...
Kind of agree, but (hate to say it) at least Forest are play decent football despite the results.

All the people who said “at least Sage has sorted out the attack”. We are on track to beat last season’s goal tally in the League …by two. We are just absolutely awful under Sage
You say that as if it’s the fans fault that we are crap.
