We should disestablish the Church of England. Having an official state religion puts us on a par with Saudi Arabi and other lovely countries. At least the Pope broadly believes in the Church he is leader of. Albeit a rather woke namby-pamby flavour of Christianity. Personally i prefer the fire & brimstone of Pope Benedict & Ian Paisley. Whereas King Charles ?........no comment.

Disestablish doesn't mean destroy. It just means that the Head of State is no longer the Head of The COE. It frees up the COE to do what it likes and not having to ask the PM and Charles for approval in appointing bishops amongst other things.
It means that the head of State can belong to whatever religion they like as it becomes a private matter.
As for Muslims wanting to disestablish the COE, they don't, they are better off now as I explained.
If you scrapped the link between state and church you would no longer need to counter balance that with leaders of other faith groups. The Lords has 24 unelected bishops but also Iman's, Rabbi's and so on. A secular state means if these people want power they will need to be elected.
