Besiktas away - Europa League

Fully expect another thrashing. Interestingly the bookies don’t think this is a shoo in. Besiktas are 2.26 on Betfair to win.
 
This game is as much (if not more) about the performance as/than the result. If we see genuine signs of a more structured and organised defence then there is hope for Sage's future. Having said that, Sunday is more about the result as Newcastle are a team we should be beating given their own problems and so a win, however, earned is more needed, Obviously a good performance and further evidence of defensive improvement would be nice to see.

I would be delighted if we got something out of tonight's game. To do that we need to keep the Besiktas fans quiet (relatively speaking) by not conceding in the first half - a tall order, I know.

I will be pleasantly surprised if we emerge with a respectable defeat. Anything more would be seismic for the club and Sage.

Its not beyond the realms of posibility this exact scenario could play out. They are at home. The onus is on them to come out. The longer the game goes on before they score the more frustrated they become. And start taking risks.
 
I really really hope we win , not defending but doing a balanced performance. Until I see the team dont know. Come on Sage you know how to do this . Don't let me and others that believe in you down. Pretend we are Lyon when you took over 433 formation 🦅🦅🦅🦅

It’s simple, if this game was played 5 times, in my humble opinion, we would lose 4 times. That said, of course I hope we play well, spark new belief in the side, even a draw would be awesome. Although of course if Mateta and Sarr start, we have a fighting chance.

For some bizarre reason I have a 'Feeling in my water' that we will attain a positive result.
I attribute my positivity to my medication !
 
If we lose this match and then one of the next out of 2 leagues games either Newcastle or Spurs manager has to go.

I got a good feeling about this game we will worst case get a draw.
