Newcastle Predictions.

The bed wetting is getting worse.

7 games isn't near enough. I've seen brilliant attacking, and glimpses of good defending with significant periods of shite and mistakes.

We've lost our wing back, captain defender and most experienced defender, plus Chadi Riad. I'm not surprised we've not become cohesive yet.

Canvot is like a French-African slab head. Calamity combined with quality. A bit like my golf game.

I'm looking for performance over result, but a result would help.

The way we played against Brighton I can see another loss. I'll go for 3-1 to Newcastle. I have zero faith in Sage turning things round. He is inept in his tactical decision making. Why we hired a manager with less than 100 games in charge I'll never know. He was obviously cheap. Get him out and bring in Howe.

Newcastle have lost 3 out of their last 4 games and these games included 2 Away defeats both 4-1.
I would not be surprised if we attain some points from this game.
Have you taken into account a Thursday night match beforehand against a top euro team plus over 8 hours round trip to and from Turkey. I just can’t see our team after this last debacle being able to get a draw or win this Sunday :-(

You can almost gaurentee we won’t be that bad again, Newcastle are in poor form for a start and Brighton are on fire at the moment. Plus if we can not let in three goals in the first 10 minutes it’ll give us a chance 🤣

He doesn't want to come to Palace. He has said as much when turning down offers for other jobs since leaving Newcastle. We're not a big enough club for his inflated ego.

Nothing less than a win is acceptable, these lightweights need to step up and Sage needs to give them a simple framework that they can all understand. To lose against teams in the same position as us means sinking lower and eventual relegation, it's not a complicated concept to get to grips with.

Beating teams around us was the one thing we was good at . And add in the odd beating of a bigger club . So all these players need to do there jobs properly . Not stopping because there to thick to understand basics football . All formation are not complicated , still involves looking marking blocking and tackling and running simple. At the moment there forgetting 2 of them , which is marking and blocking

The players know they need to improve, and the manager knows it too. Yes, injuries and distractions have played their part, but regardless of formations, tactics or possession, this team is struggling to get even the basics right. On current form, they’d struggle in the Championship.

Sunday was nothing short of embarrassing. I think Sage probably has two games to save his job, and the players will know that too. If they genuinely support him, we should see blood, sweat and determination over the next two games. They need to show it on the pitch, not just talk about it.
If performances continue as they have been, then questions have to be asked about whether the players truly respect or believe in Sage. If there’s no significant improvement, I think it would be entirely justified for him to be dismissed after the Newcastle game.
Unfortunately, I can’t see us beating Newcastle at the moment.

Just prior to perusing the above, I was about to assert that supporters in general are of course not 'Au Fait' with the 'Mood music' behind the scenes.

Currently on a run of 16 goals in the PL without reply. I doubt if any other club will beat this in 2026/7. Palace's record in any PL season is 7
