Brighton vs Crystal Palace match thread

Should Sage be relieved of his duties it will be a desperate man who would want to take on this challenge.
How many of them are there out there?

I don't think things are that bad, we've definitely got a squad strong enough and if the rumours are true, City will be getting a 60 point deduction in the new year, so thats one team gone. We're still a fairly attractive job for most managers out there.

According to Whoscored, he had 0.5% of total possession, less than 30 seconds.

Although he was subbed at half time, this is very low for a DM.
He was one of very many poor performances. Some of this is because we weren’t allowed to play by the opposition but something is clearly wrong behind the scenes. The whole team looked demotivated

Right thats the 3rd defeat in 15 against them . And I can hear the but but but .

For some reason I'm not tearing the house apart , maybe I took step back and looked at the complete picture . He must do what he done at lyon just went defensive and 442 switch when needed .
Worried no why should I be we have 30 games left to get us out of this . Do we sack and get a none attacking manager . That's a step backwards and everyone complaining its boring to watch . So dont make gut statements , make solution statements realistic ones not pie in the sky ones .
First 10 minutes won that game 2 deflection and a good 50yard goal ,
but Benitez is part to blame standing on the edge of the penalty box is dangerous in strong winds .
Felt sorry for cavort I know what it feels like , went for the header but wind allowed the ball in at pace and moving away , if he left it Benitez catches it but you dont in them position , and 2nd one trying to stop the shot and took it away from the keeper .
We live on adversity at palace and something always comes right .
KEEP THE FAITH WE ARE PALACE

So we're waiting on the usual round of sackings from the usual culprits before there's a pool of unwanted managers to choose from ha ha...

I agree with all of this, especially the importance of succession planning. My only reservation is that we don't really know why the club sold la croix and Munoz in the summer. Some reports suggest it's to cover us for FFP, in which case it is perhaps more understandable. If it was by choice then it might be a fatal mistake, whoever is in the dugout.
It was awful for the club to part with Guehi, LaCroix and Munoz, but did we have any choice?
If the player wants out these days for financial, career or any other issues, they hold all the cards. I don't think it was just about the money.

I'd rather we kept losing...
Im not sure which is worse losing to Brighton or the regular and quite frankly boring spectre of Dyche coming in, as if he is the only available manager? Come on.
Forest's problem is they cant score, perhaps Sage could help them with that, our problem is a very leaky defence, Glasner's track record with us on that was good.
Sage-Glasner straight swap?

It's not just about an emotional response to today.
Does anybody really think it's sustainable to concede more than 2 goals a game and not struggle?
Can anybody point to a succesful team/ manager that has done this?
Do we look any better defensively than at the beginning of the season, where is the evidence of improvement ?
I can already here the excuses about not having a settled back 3.
Well Tomiyasu can't stay fit and Disasi hasn't impressed so far.
But it's not just about the back 3.
Khalaili doesn't look a natural defender and even the reliable Mitchell is out of sorts.
We're continually overrun in midfield and lose duels all over the field.
I'd really like Sage to succeed, but any good team has to have a solid foundation and there's a paucity of evidence that this will be achievable under him.
Even the subs look odd e g the non use of Sarr today .
