Brighton vs Crystal Palace match thread

The biggest worry that won’t have gone unnoticed by Parish is we looked unmotivated today
When you have our defence and you swap Brennan Johnson for McNeil and thats seen as good business… would you be motivated.

That is the biggest worry, as others have said, what on gods earth has happened to Wharton? I wouldn’t want to pay £10 million for him at the moment. Look at Anderson at City. A season ago they were playing for the same position in the England team. Look at them both now.

It is really worrying and I think the next 4 weeks are going to be testing for us.

Well I think that's that tbh. Sage wasn't helped by the disrupted preseason, injuries and our failure to get in decent experienced defenders.

However we're currently playing footballing suicide and the stats are so damning that I can't see how he'll turn it around.

Maybe he'll get Besiktas and Newcastle to see if he's able to implement a different approach but that different approach was obviously needed today and it didn't happen.

My only positive to take was that we didn't take a record loss and concede double figures. It easily could have been tbh.

Left early, sitting on the train! Great transfer window some shouted in the summer, absolutely shocking performance that was.. it was so poor, embarrassing and just arrgghhhhhhhh !!!
No further analysis required, just a new manager and a defence

Hard to see Sage staying in the job now. We are by far the worst side in the Prem and somehow we are getting worse. I don't think we have the players to get us out of this. A prospective manager must look at our squad and think I could lose all my credibility working with this lot.

The manner of this defeat was coming and it was just a matter of time. We've been unconvincing and most fortunate thus far into the campaign. It seems to me that Sage has only one way and I wonder if he will learn the valuable lesson that this thumping will have taught him - namely the tactics employed don't work with this set of players in the Premier league. There's a lack of leadership and structure across the board and it needs to be addressed immediately.

If I were Parish I would be asking Sage to explain exactly how he is going to turn this round.

There is no sign of it on the pitch and we have many games to come in a short period.

If he can’t provide a confident realistic answer, then I think he has to go.
I'm pretty certain that that's exactly what's going to happen
