Lyon away - Europa league

No ones blaming the ref .
Mitchell foul could of resulted in a goal
And the last Kamada one was stone wall .
He was a tit .
We all know our weaknesses

The ref was one of their best players.

Him playing on when we had a head injury, then stopping as soon as we won possession and broke away because one of theirs had a bumhole injury really took the piss. Then the Kamada foul, jeez.

Unfortunately JSL is proving himself to be an overspend. Matt Hobbs thinking that if he buys him again for even more then he'll be even better.

Lost it in first half. Not sure why we played so badly and then improved in second half. Perhaps if we hadn’t let in that late first half goal we might have got a result. Thought we as a team would have been better with Disasi back but him and Timber were poor throughout. Going to have to sort out this ability to play so badly for large parts of a match. Forrest we got lucky. Tonight it went against us and Brighton won’t let us off the hook unless we play well throughout the ninety plus minutes. Can’t put my finger on why we look so poor at times. Is it Sage?

Timber was not poor. Wtf are you on about?

I mean, he is literally one of the best technically gifted players on our payroll.
Agree, he just isn't as physically talented as some other players on the roster, his technical skills are off the charts though and it seems that being in the right place at the right time is more important than being the fastest guy on the pitch in a sprint.

Decent second half performance. No disgrace losing to Lyon away. We missed Tomiyasu’s quality at the back. Canvot did ok. Playing 3 at the back you need a centre back who’s prepared to carry the ball and he certainly is albeit at times he shouldn’t. Richards was more comfortable second half. Disasi was poor.
We pressed higher second half and once Kamada came on we looked more likely to score. Sarr didn’t look like a £40 million player but neither did JSL. In the end Lyon were more clinical in front of goal.

We deserved to be battered in this game, just like the Forest game. Saying holes exist in our defence. A competent side will put 6/7 past us soon. Maybe on Sunday. It’s the way Sage sets us up.

I still believe in players on the post on corners , it makes target smaller
1 or 2 less to mark opposition players and often getting in the way of the goalkeeper did for that idea. My bugbear is goalies punching the ball back into play rather than save it or palm it around post for a corner. I guess there is data on that as well
