Lyon away - Europa league

[Eagle Phil]

Awful defending again. Absolutely hopeless. Mitchell asleep at the back post.

[BromleyMonkey]

Nakamura had an acre of free space around him.

Mingueza is s*** which isn’t helping down that side

[grumpymort]

Pls get rid of Sage didnt rate him before we signed him and now not been impressed with anything he has done at the club.

[PalazioVecchio]

Nakamura is causing Mingueza and Richards all sorts of problems.

its Pearl Harbor and we are the sitting ducks

[JHB]

We really really cannot defend. Sage isn’t very good at that side of it

[grumpymort]

Mingueza is s*** which isn’t helping down that side

Hes more an attacking player not defending one

[G O Eagle]

What a joke of a team for a European League game. We are a million miles away from as much a single shot on goal. And Lyon could have scored any number of goals they might have wanted.

[samprior]

Mingueza has looked all over the place if I'm honest, constantly out of position and not good in 1 on 1s.

Their wingers have the beating of us everytime.

Not a great half with poor goals conceded.

[Dogburger]

Booo

[Spindle]

We've struggled against this system that's for sure. It's not what we usually face, their closing down and marking out of our outlets and options is very good, we end up in blind alleys. Timber and Wharton have actually done very well considering, the front 3, nope.

[OneStevePerrin]

My goodness we are poor (again!)
There is no urgency whatsoever and we constantly give the ball away. Oh, and we can’t defend. Other than that? Well, nothing. Truly awful. I’m sure other prem teams would give it a go against Lyon? I can’t even put a name of a Palace player forward who’s playing well :-(

[PatrickA]

We're very easy to beat down the sides and look incapable of keeping a clean sheet.
Nothing new I'm afraid.

[AndyPlymouth]

Lacklustre performance.

[Spindle]

Pls get rid of Sage didnt rate him before we signed him and now not been impressed with anything he has done at the club.

FO I don't want to hear that bollocks you say every game including in the last three or four which have been unbeaten

[n wales eagles]

Cheating bastards don’t they know they have to hit it straight at Benitez Poor from trick as well

[Nutmegyeti]

Our sh1t defence is on Parish

Or possibly on the manager. Mind you the French are known for their never say die, rearguard action….

[Sardinero]

Cant understand why our defence is so bad , we have lost one player over summer, it has to be tactically wrong set up!

[Part Time James]

Never mind lads. There's a thread about Celia Imrie's boobs if you're feeling sad.

[Palacesince64]

Time for one of those Sage halftime talks. Maybe take Mingueza off and bring Khalaili on plus Kamada.

[park the bus]

So far this season I've been waiting to see the "real" Palace - a team that looks recognisably like a team and not an enigma, or a figment of Sage's imagination. It's pretty vapid stuff without any solid basis.
