Not watched it, but every time I see a news article hyping up that SNL are going to lampoon somebody famous I think "yeah?"My Mrs loves Saturday Night Live.
Personally I've never watched anything so unfunny labelled as comedy.
To me it's a tired format belonging back in the late 80s early 90s..........

McIntyre...cannot stand him, truly unfunny shite.Head wobbling, detritus warbling irritant Michael McIntyre polluted my living room via the television this past weekend. The definition of unfunny. Made even less funny by comedic activist "special guest" Joe Lycett.

Jimmy Carr at least seems to understand what a good joke is, just cannot deliver one. Whereas Michael McIntyre has neither good jokes nor good delivery.Jimmy Carr, was he ever funny ?
Just a philosopher/raconteur, with no specific aims on comedy. You'd be better off getting pished with your mates down the pub.

I never hated Friends. I stepped away from thinking of it as comedy and just tolerated it as background noise. However, in typical American fashion every "joke" had to be explained as a joke. They could have said "the following is about to be a joke".My daughter loves friends and watches it over and over again, now although it has its moments and me and the Mrs watched it back in the day when it was first on( mainly for me because of Jennifer Aniston) it’s typical American rubbish where they think every line has to be funny and you lose any sort of realism, life’s not like that and the best comedy is when it feels real and you can relate to it

I believe Friends came about from watching British Comedy. My daughter loves friends and watches it over and over again, now although it has its moments and me and the Mrs watched it back in the day when it was first on( mainly for me because of Jennifer Aniston) it’s typical American rubbish where they think every line has to be funny and you lose any sort of realism, life’s not like that and the best comedy is when it feels real and you can relate to it

Their entire culture came from us. They just did a terrible job of replicating it.I believe Friends came about from watching British Comedy.

What culture?Their entire culture came from us. They just did a terrible job of replicating it.
Caveat: this was a tongue in cheek comment that will not stand up to scrutiny.

Frazier and Seinfeld!! How many seasons of that unfunny rubbish is there?? I suppose Americans obviously find them funnyI never hated Friends. I think America has gotten a bit better at that now and started trusting the audience to figure out why something was funny, or accept that not every joke will be understood by everyone. I can't think of examples to back that up but... probably.
