Man Vs Tiger

My suspicions are that he may have had carers who were not watching properly.

Wonder if the hull city fans will still do their celebration today if they score a goal?

Personally I regard human life as more important than a dangerous animal used for display.

The guy was obviously mentally ill and the real fault is in the ability to enter the enclosure from the public areas.

The Tiger is just behaving as nature intended, however in instances like these I wouldn't just let the guy be mauled to death as happened......but the reaction time involved probably meant it was inevitable.

Zoos aren't what they used to be. Animals like these are genuine conservation projects.

I don't value human life higher than other animals. It is what it is, yes if I had ability to do something I would've, but if it was a Pakistani rape gang man I wouldn't

Not an immortal hand or eye.

What were the carers doing? This came soon after a child was thrown into an alligator pit.
How is it possible for anyone to enter a tiger paddock?

Something is going wrong.

What the hell was wrong with him?

I saw video on YT of him being mauled and trying to tell the tiger off with a pointing finger, but it ends there.

I hope nothing happens to the tiger, it's done nothing wrong.
Another mental person walking about. We all see it every day. He killed himself, not others - count that as a positive.

I heard a rumour that predators dont like the taste of humans ? Compared to other prey. Its our toxic lifestyle......cigarettes, food additives, anti biotics, booze, etc.

And its a fair argument. Certainly when u compare a battery-chicken to a free-range organic chicken.

I feel sorry for the Tiger.

I've seen people ask "Why didn't anyone try to stop the man getting into the cage ?"
As some people have said, the guy (if mentally diagnosed) should have had carers with him

And most people wouldn't intervene these days, when you can get stabbed just for trying to help.

OK, there seemed to be a lapse in cage security, but if people are determined/resourceful enough, they can usually find a way/exploit any lapses.

As people have implied, there seems to have been a lack of correct risk assessment here for this mentally ill fella....We know they are on the street, but presumably he'd have had to pay or be paid for to get into a zoo.

Someone or more has seriously fecked up.....that was a young man, if you're going to take the mentally ill to potentially dangerous places then if you're insisting on doing that then he required someone as strong as him as a carer to stop him doing this....someone diligent who actually gives a feck.

I bet there was some feeble women.....but carers are often what's available rather than what is always actually needed....it is what it is.

All could have been avoided if they just stopped taking mentalists to dangerous places......Maybe they just assumed that it would be impossible to enter the enclosure.

I hope the tiger hasn't been shot and killed. I've not seen any definitive statement. It's reported that shots were heard, but hopefully just stun darts.

The animal was simply behaving as nature intended when another animal invaded it's territory.

I have seen lots of sources say the tiger was unharmed.

Regarding the finger waving, several people have suggested he was doing the makaton sign language for "bad" and may have had special needs. But as some have said, shouldn't have been off his leash. Conjecture though.

I do think it'd be a reasonable assumption to assume getting into a tiger enclosure was difficult. I'd keep a close eye on my kids in a zoo but I also think I'd assume that being whipped away by a paedo was more likely than them being able to stroll into a tiger enclosure. In future I will be wary of both paedos and tigers.

Could explain the absence of predators attacking Ozzy Osbourne. They probably got a horrible aftertaste from him just walking past.

One of those predators I'd have no trouble being shot dead on the spot.
