Don't fret, it was as clear as black and white.Sorry, used the wrong spelling for 'pander' I have no doubt someone that doesn't have a life will point that out!

Shearer for managerAlso when you get someone like Shearer saying he is good….who are we to argue?
England
I agree, I remember when we signed Benteke many of us were saying he is lazy, he's crap, blah, blah. When Allardyce came in he immediately recognised that to get Benteke scoring we have to send cross after cross into the box. It might not be pretty but it was effective. Benteke was back to his best form from his Villa days. Then Allardyce left.personally, I like JSL.
if we got more crosses over to him he'd score a hell of a lot more.
reckon he'll do ok this year.

He was actually lazy and crap though right through his time us. People on here bang on about his 15 goals first season but 2 were pens so effectively 13. Hardly a prolific return from the 36 games he played for us and the huge fee and wages. The following few years he was an embarrassment. One of our worst ever signings….At least JSL runs around a bit.I agree, I remember when we signed Benteke many of us were saying he is lazy, he's crap, blah, blah. I believe with JSL we have to play to his strengths instead of asking him to adapt to ours. Mateta is a hold up striker and we've used him in that way for so long. Its just not JSL's game (thank God!)
Get service to him to feet when he's running through and he will score goals. I have no doubt.

In some respects. He did not have a single assist in the league last season and he will no longer be able to bring the ball down and find the now-departed Munoz: which was a significant part of his repertoireI don't think its fair to rate Mateta solely on his finishing. His hold up play and physicality are part of the package with him.
None of our strikers are putting up the numbers in terms of goals but Mateta stands above the rest due to what he adds to the team beyond those goals. If JSL or Nketiah were putting it in the back of the net more often then we'd have something to debate....

JSL , Nketiah missed the boatThe real question is...
You're on a life raft, you can only save one, who do you pull out the freezing water?
JSL or Nketiah?

I’d bash them both over the head with oars and then put some boots on the oars. Not a lot of difference to be honest. The real question is...

There was a period when he was lean and had to play for a new contract where he suddenly started to look good under Roy (I forget when, might have been 19/20 or 20/21). Those players who decide to turn it on and stay off the pies are annoying specimensHe was actually lazy and crap though right through his time us. First one just got his studs to the ball , so nothing he can do more , another one it hit the keepers shoulder in a tight area , cant remember the other one properly think that was bad one for me ,Tried hard yesterday and was mildly effective but he seems to have Nketiah’s problem in front of goal in that he constantly hits the keeper with his shots. Twice yesterday at least he should have scored from close range but hit it straight at Sels.

I wouldn't swap JSL for that donkey Liam Delap. Think Chelsea saw old greedy belly coming. Maybe they told Forest he comes with a years supply of cake?Tried hard yesterday and was mildly effective but he seems to have Nketiah’s problem in front of goal in that he constantly hits the keeper with his shots.
