Labour Party politics

Andy Burnham obviously lives in socialist fantasy land.

a lorra, lorra words and some tears won't work for me Andy.
Promise after promise which would require a huge amount of money when we have none.

Who is paying for all this? How much would tax have to rise?

Removing the triple lock will save £600 million. British penisoners are some of the poorest in Europe.

PIP payments. Over £40 billion.

Hrolf, you and I both know that his promises and sound bites will collapse like a house of cards when it's all put to the test.
The only positive is that his presentation style is a big improvement on Starmer's.

Liberal snob Jenny Riddell-Carpenter, Labour MP, who has a degree in Politics and a Masters in ISLAMIC STUDIES wants to erase Britain and is happy to use the usual MASSIVE HYPOCRISY that we are seeing over and over again.

This is a must watch for it.

Benefits are so high they should be taxed , It’s ludicrous that they are tax exempt , Particularly PIP payments , Also PIP should end when you reach state retirement age .
Why? Your need hasn’t disappeared. It’s not intended to replace Universal Credit. It’s intended to help with additional needs. You cannot make a new claim after retirement age, you must apply for Attendance Allowance instead, which has no mobility element.

I would not be surprised to see such benefits taxed in the very near future. It fits with the current direction of travel.

So Burnham wants to rejoin the EU. Does make you laugh when in the same breath he says he is reducing VAT on fuel and wants to nationalise the water industry. If we were in the EU he would be unable to do either.

This is pure political theatre.

Burnham still spouting obvious lies about Brexit.

It has not made immigration worse. It has not damaged our economy relative to most other EU countries. It also has no bearing on potential Russian agression.

Its all about political division. A flag to march under.

It was predictable and just one part of the bonkers socialist delusion that Burnham and his sychophants are peddling. Meanwhile, the supposedly tough on immigration minister has decided to allow even more runaway immigration.

For the sake of sanity, vote Reform.

The UK state pension is not overly generous but most people also have other pensions to supplement this.

I think there are c13m people of pension age of which about 10% are deemed to be in poverty but about the same amount are higher rate tax payers, so have incomes of over £50k p.a.
Therefore, putting all pensioners into a single bucket, as most people do, is far too simplistic.

Over half of the welfare budget goes on pensions so it clearly needs to be looked at.

Complete b*llocks, and you know it.

Brexit has reduced UK GDP per capita by 6% to 8% over the decade following the 2016 referendum, according to comprehensive economic studies (such as research published by the National Bureau of Economic Research
