This made my day! I did not quite understand as a child watching him take throw ins for Brighton why the crowd were hammering him with some of the worst abuse I have ever heard in a stadium, but in time it all made sense 🤣

I used to date someone who had been born and brought up in Woking.

Paul Weller and F1 are indeed main reasons why it seems to be known.

Maybe lesser known is that Woking is the location for the England's first mosque.

Built in the 1880s, it contained the graves of a number of World War I and II soliders who fought and died for Britain.
