The left punishing the centrist who doesn't want anything to do with politics. We've seen this all before. Macklemore should've asked the headlining act whether it was okay to push his politics. Neither a fan of Palestine or Israel for that matter, both sides are guilty of some horrific s*** but it would absolutely irk the s*** out me if some virtue signalling musician had decided to go AWOL and push his politics at one of my music events.

To be fair, I think Mackerel had a history of anti-Semitism and pro-Palestine narratives at his gigs which Sheeran knew and still invited him to tour with him. Sheeran isn't totally blameless.

But the way I see it is he probably decided "he can say what he wants during his set and that's on him, it doesn't mean I have to back his narrative".
