Leeds vs. Crystal Palace match thread

I didn't read through this entire thread, but (and this is from watching the second half):

- Lerma was excellent in dropback midfield or forward-D... in the right place all the time, stopped a bunch of Leeds advances before they could even develop. Clicked with fellow old guard Richards. Canvot gives me heartburn-- holds the ball too long and then his clearances often slam into the opponent.

- i like Kamada up forward, cuz he tends to be more active and during his spells of standing flat-footed just wayching the action, it doesnt hurt compared to doing that in midfield.

- feels like CP "won" nil-nil cuz they've corrected their awful defensive problems.

- i liked that there were no subs in midfield and D... gave 90 [45m] minutes for these 9 to get to play as a unit [correction: i only saw 2nd half so didnt know Lerma subbed at the half-- he was outstanding... i didnt see Tomiyasu today-- previous games Tomiyasu played a little unsteadily and unfamiliar with his new teammates]

Yeah, loads of positives. Not the finished article by any stretch but I think the fact Khalaili and our forwards were the issue today (when they have been otherwise decent and it has been our centre backs that were troubling) show it isn’t necessarily a system or manager issue. We had more good performances today than bad, which is a decent achievement after a game in Europe on Thursday.

I thought we done great all players . Would have been nice to win considering we had most chances . Good point though and didn’t concede to a very in form Leeds side.

My only gripe was it was a fast past game with attacking and sarr would have flourished in that game with longer on the pitch. But to to be fair to sage we don’t know what sarrs attitude is like at the moment so it could be that sage is playing the hrs game and making him earn his place back .

Positives to be had I think we can be good and progress quite nicely now if we keep this defence solid . We will have to rotate with europa league so I personally don’t mind us rotating like we’re doing because if we want to progress we need to learn to play with all players not just a back line that plays together week in week out. We need the rotations to work and hopefully it will.

We don’t have a game for three weeks and less people leaving for international duty so we can spend some time working on stuff. I thought it was a 7/10 performance today. Shame Nketiah doesn’t know that strikers shoot and that VAR exists to cancel out our goal.
