You may well be right, I’m just calling it how I see it now, I’d say you’ve definitely picked out the best of our signings there, as for the rest, I suppose it’s too early to judge fully until they’ve had more game time

There is absolutely no doubt that the current first eleven is worse than the one we started last season with.

Guehi and Lacroix were a class above anything we have in defence. One was a world class centre half and one is a very good one. Munoz is a better right wing back than Khalali as it stands. Eze’s contributions in terms of goals and assists were miles better than Pino and the version of Sarr and JPM from then are both better than what we’ve had on the pitch so far.

What is also true is that it is very early days for our new signings so we need to see how they get on and develop. Maybe one or two of them will kick on to show themselves as high class

Eze didn't play for us last year
JPM is and always has been average. When he was scoring lots of goals not only was he surrounded by very creative and attacking players that were laying on chance after chance he still needed 6 or 7 chances to score 1 goal. the stats dont lie. I'm confident an on form Strand-Larson will do better with the same creative support.
I agree our defence is currently not as good but 1 Guehi is NOT world class. 2. Lacroix was a really big player for us but so was Andersen. He is not irreplaceable. Our current defence needs work but if people just show a bit of patience I'd expect that to improve as well.

I grant you he didn’t play much but he did play in the Community Shield and the opening league game. So we did start the season with him all be it he didn’t contribute to our success
