I think Benitez is fine. I'd go as far as to say he's the best second Keeper I remember us having. He's hands down better than plenty of first ones we've had. He's not even 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿.

I'm going to put my neck on the block and suggest Big Bad Walter for Man Of The Match tonight. Several big saves as we get done on the break. Then two or three slick moves, two of which end up in the net, as we win our first ever match in the competition.

Super Sam Johnstone and Henderson as #1 and #2 would be my shout but I am entirely in agreement with you over Walter Benitez.

I do rate the guy; goalkeepers often come in rusty when second choice and they need a little run of games to get match sharp.

Doing that with our current back three is much harder than it would have been last year when, for example, in the League Cup we snuck past Milwall on penalties thanks to saves from... this guy:
