Back when the State Pension was introduced, most feckers retired at 65. And they died one or two years later. One pensioner is supported by 16 workers.

Today, I know suburban roads full of people in their 70s, 80s and even some in their 90s. Its a statistical 'Beatles Yellow submarine' scenario that our forefathers never envisioned.

Bringing in these over ten million immigrants (and that's just the legal) means the future is going to.....Well, not be very pleasant.

A large % of the people you mention who have the houses and are claiming also have children.

People need to be more open minded and take each case as it is not everyone is the same.

Companies get a free ride they are one of the biggest issues exploiting people with minimum pay or abusing the worker rights situation (Very few jobs have any security anymore which is another reason why some people do not see the point of getting a job)

How come people work in these jobs with no security then ? What’s their incentive ?

Yup but Labour are edging towards the precipice and don’t want to be in charge when it happens. I think this donation thing rule change is lip service and reform will get their dough; as losing the election would be great for the self serving commie Labour c****.

there are a lot of jobs still available, just not at the rate they may require.
I was out of work early 80s, no jobs available, so I stuck a roof rack on my car, borrowed a few bob and bought ladders, a bucket & window cleaning gear.
spent evenings knocking doors asking if they wanted windows cleaned.
within a few weeks me & a mate had enough to give us 3 days a week (low wages but at least we had spends)
after 6 months we were full and doing odd jobs like gutter clearing, painting etc.

people need a boot up the arse.

I think they very very much do want to be in charge when it happens.

For many reasons that I'm not comfortable saying on here.

No theirs not and to claim otherwise shows your lack of understanding about the current market.

80's are not 2026 different time.

A person due to regulations etc can not do what you once did.

That would be as I said before case by case with many people who do take those roles do so because they have no one else to support.

Other may do so because they came out of work and claimed which opens up peoples eyes to how bad the sums are compared to working also you end up losing out on other areas of life.
