Palace U21s v Swindon Tonight

I am going to the game tonight as relocated this way.

Do we expect any big names to be playing to get their minutes up? Interested to see how we get on!

probably not but i would play Gozo and possibly Canvot.

The former is still finding his feet in England and looks like he struggles in our more physical game. Some U21 minutes will only be of benefit.

Canvot could probably do with some minutes too, especially if his attitude in training hasn't been ideal, which was alluded to by Sage.

If we can play over aged players Guessand needs a run out too.

I know their under 21’s will have a different management team, but it would’ve been good entertainment if Holloway was there. I sat behind his Swindon dugout at a Gillingham game a few months ago and he was more entertaining than the game, plenty of good humoured banter with the crowd

He was having a pop at the fans at the end for booing. Was very animated and seemed upset about that. Good game!

Good result as the Premier League and Championship sides are only allowed to use academy players but the lower league sides use the whole squad. Hence Man City and Chelsea, arguably the two best academy set ups, lost last night to Chesterfield and Wycombe respectively. This is traditionally a competition we do very badly in and lose most of our games.

Is that 100% correct? Holding was allowed to play in these games a couple of years ago when he was exiled from the 1st team squad.

Gozo has played for U21s this season and is U21 - would he be allowed?

They're allowed a certain amount of overage players I believe. I think maybe five at most, something like that. All U21s are eligible I believe, first team or reserves. Just from FM.
