is it possible to recall rio cardines from bristol city ,he can not be any worst than what we already have ,he is playing really well for them i was disappointed when we loaned him out he really is a top player 🙂

Sadly most of our transfer business this summer was bringing in right backs and wingers all of whom are a bit worse than what we had. This means not only is the first eleven not any better but there is no room for our home grown right sided players

I like Cardines but he’s a RB/RWB one of our RWBs scored yesterday and the other one made the first assist in a 3-0 win on Tuesday. At a push he could also play LWB but last weekend we won because our LWBs scored a collective hat-trick. Defensively it has been the centre backs (and maybe the central midfield) which have been the problem as far as I can see?

Don’t get me wrong - lots of issues/questions I just don’t think Cardines is presently the answer to any of them.

I think it is the defensive unit as whole that is the problem. There are big spaces in behind our wing backs which teams are exploiting. A lot of our goals conceded start with play in those areas. This was a problem under Glasner but is even worse under Sage’s ‘kick and rush up the pitch’ tactics. So no Cardines won’t solve it as it’s a formation and tactical issue
