RNLI

That may be true , but it’s not only the left that likes immigration. The RNLI take donations from all parts of society. Their patron is His majesty the king .
I'm not sure Charles thinks of himself as right wing. I think he considers himself some kind of enlightened ruler. Most people just think he's not that great but he doesn't seem to notice.

So rnli takes no money at all from anyone?
  • Government Support: Less than 1% of the RNLI's funding comes from government sources. The charity deliberately avoids central government funding to protect its operational independence.
  • Donations and Legacies: Around 90% to 95% of total income is driven by public generosity, including direct donations, fundraising events, and gifts in wills (legacies).
  • Other Income: The remaining funding comes from investments, trading, and specific grants for international projects.
  • Running Costs: It cost £190.3 million to run the lifesaving service, which includes maintaining lifeboat stations, training volunteer crews, and operating seasonal lifeguard services.

When you think the RNLI are the bad guys you know your moral compass is utterly, utterly f*cked.

I think the issue is that they hammered out to sea to meet the French and take over. Lives at risk? No, it was a escort job, and people are angry

If the boat fired off an epirb after getting into trouble that's different, and they should be deported immediately for putting to sea in an unseaworthy vessel

According to the Charity Commission's figures for the RNLI, donations and legacies provided about £222.4 million of its £251.3 million total income in the financial year ending 31 December 2024. These are confidential, dat protection I guess.

Identifable major supporters and corporate partners of the RNLI include:
  • The Lifeboat Fund is described by the RNLI as its"single largest regular contributor".
  • Ørsted, the offshore wind energy company, supports the running costs of seven RNLI lifeboat stations around the UK.
  • Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines has supported the RNLI for more than 50 years through fundraising by passengers and crew.
  • Helly Hansen supplies protective clothing and equipment for RNLI all-weather lifeboat crews and lifeguards.
  • INEOS Automotive is the RNLI's official lifeboat vehicle partner.
  • Ford is associated with RNLI lifeguard operations through its vehicle partnership.
  • Scania UK entered a multi-year partnership involving fundraising support and continued provision of engines for RNLI Shannon-class lifeboats.
  • GJW Direct, the marine insurer, reports that it and its customers have donated over £258,000 to the RNLI since 2018.
I never relised Fred Olsen cruise ships were crewed by Trostskites.

Sorry but you can't help but question their loyalty to this country when they appear to be in league with or helping the people smugglers who are earning thousands of pounds for every undocumented military aged young man they bring into this country for us taxpayers to provide a life of relative luxury
Was their loyalty questioned every time they picked a WWll German airman from the channel .? Was any British ship or rescue vessel thought disloyal when ever they picked up enemy personnel in the sea.?
Not quite the same, I know, except to make the point loyalty doesn’t come into who you save from the sea .
Are border force disloyal, or the Royal Navy, they all bring these people ashore, because if they didn’t ?

It's a querk of maritime law that is being abused.

The French will sate to the "captain" of the rubber boat that they believe that the boat is unsafe and the should return to shore or abandon to the coast guard cutter. Obviuosly they refuse and potter on the French are obliged to shadow them to stop possible loss of life. As soon as the rubber boat enters British waters they are obliged to ask them the same question at which time the boat becomes the massive risk to life that it was from point it left France and the British have to attempt a rescue.

It didn't work like that. Germany had a far more sophisticated system of pilot recovery than the British.

But that was wartime and anyone picked up would be a prisoner of war. Are these prisoners of war the RNLI are picking up?

Laws being utterly exploited. They aren't designed for this, and the tossers are putting other lives at risk from vessels in genuine need

A valid point. Why don't the French rescue them?

I said it wasn’t quite the same except it makes the point that loyalty doesn’t affect who you save from the sea including a deadly enemy. It doesn’t matter what label is put on them ,other than fellow Human. If the RNLI ever start picking and choosing who they pluck from the water or escort to a safe landing then it would reflect a deeply troubled immoral society.

I'm sure that these WW11 germans did not deliberately throw themselves in the channel. There is a big difference between genuine rescues and RNLI helping the people smugglers bringing in tens of thousands of undocumented fighting-age males without vetting or background checks costing us taxpayers millions of pounds to house and feed and huge legal costs fighting the evil human rights lawyers who definitely don't give a damn about this country.
