What?
That's an extremely...extremely one eyed interpretation of history.
There would literally be no Israel without the British as we allowed their return. The Balfour Declaration (November 1917) stated that the British government “view[ed] with favour the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people'. We literally allowed Jews to emigrate to what would become Israel over decades....bloody decades. Without us it wouldn't have happened....So I have no idea what stuff you're reading. They didn't come there under anyone else! We only restricted (not stop) the numbers of Jews arriving in 1939.
Our policy was to avoid war between the Jews and Arabs.....Is that some kind of evil intent considering we ran the bloody place?
Expect respect over the Falklands? What from the nation that sold missiles to the Argentinians?
This is documented in declassified British Foreign Office files. Israel sold significant quantities of arms and military equipment to Argentina both before and during the 1982 Falklands War.
I think I've misled you. I meant that the British opposed the UN plan and said it wouldn't work. To the Jews it was just opposition.
And I said I don't expect respect from them as we were selling arms to arabs whilst blocking them. They needed to apply pressure and build their arms independence.
