Think someone said that out of the 25 squad you must have 4 home grow players , so that makes just 21 spaces , so thats maybe why he wasn't included , but he is OK for domestic , but I do wonder how much we could charge Villa to loan him back 😎

There is no obligation to buy in the deal, so it might just be that Palace wanted to have another look and to see if he could fit with the way Sage wants to play. He could probably do with a run of games to get his confidence and fitness up, but I do wonder if he'll get that given Sage has left him out of his Europa squad, which is pretty damning. So far, from what I've seen of him, he has a few tricks up his sleeve, but he doesn't influence games enough. Hopefully he changes our minds and turns out to be a star.

It’s absolutely incredible how we just throw money about on salaries for players who are unlikely to have any involvement in the team and are headed in the pecking order for the two positions he can likely play by 3 other players.
