Hard to say how good it is when very few if any on here have ever seen him play. I never have myself. Anyway, just confirmed on club website.

I think it is technically allowed as he is an Atalanta player for the next year, loaned to us from them, just signed a pre-contract to Chelsea (who were not mentioned in our announcement just now).

It is another talented young player through the door but I really worry about our lack of leadership.

Yep fingers crossed 🤞and he can buck the trend of having a great first season as a CB in the PL. Overall attacks are probably the hardest in any division throughout the world. Bit of a punt but clearly the club think it could work out okay.
 
Apparently, he's quick, and he can also play left-back, so if Sosa is off, he also gives cover there (it's also more common for young players to break through as full-backs).

Hard to get too excited about a loan, but needs must.

i think this is a great bit of business once Riad got injured.

This guy is so young but has already played for his country and Chelsea have just paid a whopping £40m for him.

Clearly we have limited funds so to utilise the loan market to get on paper such a quality left footer CB in is very impressive.
Can't see him playing with Canvot as both are so inexperienced but we have a lot of football to play so we need options. He gives us a great option on the left CB either as a 2 or 3.
 
We only have this boy for one season but we could have a diamond for the period. He is obviously very good to have achieved what he has until now.
Marc Guehi, only had two seasons in the Championship when he came to us. At eighteen Ahanor, looks to be at a similar level.
 
We don’t need to use this Atalanta player except as a sub, or occasionally in low level cup matches. His parent Club won’t be interested as they are guaranteed the €40 million. We won’t spend anywhere near that sort of money on a 19 year old Chelsea player if they decide he is surplus to retirement like the tens of other gullible kids they have signed up. I doubt we will be bothered finding out. Like many kids he is chasing a dream.

It’s perfect for Chelsea though. The player spends a season with a Premier League club, gets to adjust to the new League and life in London. Maybe gets some decent playing time and if not gets to train with Premier League players.

For us it’s basically cover unless he absolutely blows the manager away in training. Sage has said as much.
