Crystal Palace are showing late interest in Mainz midfielder Kaishu Sano.

It is understood Palace have opened talks with the German club for the Japan international over a potential £30m deal.

The way things stand we need to. All of the teams we should be compared to have improved their squads with this level of quality. We need a mid fielder and a replacement for Sarr. If that’s how it is it’s Liverpools money we are using.
At present all promoted sides have spent more than us. Quite embarrassing really

Spending for the sake of it isn't an attraction... Look how January turned out. Not being decisive in lining up your targets is the big problem.

We desperately need a CM, and it feels like we've been faffing around with targets, hijacking deals for positions we don't desperately need, could come back to haunt us.

Parish for you - last season he spent weeks arguing with UEFA over our expulsion from the Europa saying we couldn’t determine our transfer strategy until we knew what competition we were in.

This year it’s all about the 70% operating headroom - hence all the free and loan deals.

Look I think we’ve bought in some quality - but fed up with Parish constantly making excuses for not getting deals over the line.

Look at Timber today - all agreed except he wouldn’t pay the agent fees - why every other club does - why are we so different..??

Just costs us window after window..!!

I doubt every other club does; we've pretty much always stood up to agents; the agent community (sic) knows full well; yet we still sign top players.

Is it Parish or Hobbs? I understand it is the latter who does the negotiations now.

Not really. They’re allowed two years grace with PSR rules not applying to them. This is to help promoted sides to compete and lesson the chance of all three going straight back down every year!!
I'm not talking about PSR, I mean that they continue to improve their squads, while we don't. They are going to be the teams we have to take points from this season

Mate - this was probably a couple of £M - in the scheme of things nothing..!!

There’s no point in fighting an argument you ain’t going to win - applaud the sentiment of it - but agents exist, so you’ve got to deal with it.

That could be £10m plus a window.

You wanna pay it?

Of course we pay agents but there is no reason we should have our pants pulled.
