Johnson's first goal in 35 games in all competitions.
His previous goal was back in November last year when he netted for Wales in their 7-1 rout against N.Macedonia.
Last night's goal and assist will be a boost for him in terms of confidence.
They played him out wide, fancy doing that to a winger, ridiculous.
Johnson has a couple of decent aspects to his game , running on to balls played in front of him down the right side and slipping the ball across the box for a teammate to finish, or finishing himself across the goalkeeper.
Both were evident in his contribution last night and if Everton continue to get him into these areas I think he’ll do reasonably well there.

I concur with these sentiments.
With Johnson, for sure the boy had his confidence issues but I have wondered how much damage was done by OG interviewing him b4 BJ joined us & then 5 minutes later announcing to the outside world that he was leaving, and for sure when OG said in that press conference that he wasn't going to sign a new contract, he couldn't have known for sure if SP would let him work till the end of the season or ask him to clear his desk at any time in the days / weeks to follow.
I would think that BJ probably felt to a degree that the club (collectively) hadn't been entirely transparent with him.
