Jared Bowen

HOPEFULLY this is usual Sun journalism BS.

£50 million quid would be a huge waste of money in my book.
West Ham fans love Bowen but even they will agree he is a player in decline and has lost his pace. It's like signing Wilf in his last couple of seasons for us. Still a great player but the decline is starting to happen.

I don't believe this is serious he's 30 so no resale value.

People turnt their nose up at the idea of signing trossard last season and look how good he was for arsenal, if sarr is leaving, bowen would be a great signing, not for 50 mill tho.

If Bowen was available for what Arsenal paid for Trissard, about 18m I think... Then I don't think anyone would be turning their nose up at Bowen. But he's not available at that price.

Talking to family and friends they don't want him to leave , unless they need to cut there wage bill more , and he is a leader which sage said he needs , 50m yes I get it but is that £ or euros , a little high , but has a big engine so may get 3 years

Im not sure hes as good as Sarr, but itd be great to wait Danny Dyers reaction 🤣.

Seriously I hope Sarr stays, get rid of JP and between Nketiah, Strand Larsson and Franca...hopefully we have enough.

I mean Kudos to Sage...he got Edouard banging them in last season...so we've got a chance!

Indeed he did but 'Ligue 1' is very different from the PL.
Eduoard had an impressive scoring record in 'Scottish Premiership' another league not on a par with the PL.

£50m would be an insane amount for someone of his age.

However, if the money was better, I'd be ok essentially getting him for the Sarr money.
Agree, but at a lower price I could see a lot of bigger clubs interested in him.
He's a proven player and reliable in goals/assists.

If he's going to walk away from West Ham, with all that entails for him and after saying publicly that he wouldn't, then he's certainly not going to do it just to sign for Palace, is he?

If he was on s*** money or unloved at West Ham, or we were a title-challenging, champions league club, or if there was a World Cup or Euros coming up next summer, then maybe. But none of those things are true.

Anyway, if we had £50m to spend then surely we'd spend it on three players for £15-18m each, none of whom are proven, and two of whom turn out not be be remotely good enough. Isn't that the big idea? It's really very, very clever.
