Riads knee

It was the same against Norwich in the Carabao Cup when he did it the first time. Innocuous challenge, knee f***ed.

He’s now had 3 serious knee injuries during his time with us, having missed 430 days (and 90 games) during his previous spell out. The bloke clearly has a problem with it, his playing days with us are surely over.

That’s another centre half we have to sign. We already needed one.

Sadly yes

I feel very sorry for him. Having so many serious injuries so early in a career must be devastating.

For us sadly we simply need to move on if the injury is serious. It’s clear that he can’t play a consistent run of games and when he has played I have to be honest and say he hasn’t looked up to it.

We desperately need more quality, physicality and leadership at the back

Agree,no mistake, need a player with the quality of Lacroix.

I feel sorry for him on a personal level but he'll still get paid. Meanwhile, I only really remember him having one or two decent games. We need a stronger, more consistent centre back. I would have already put Tomiyasu, Richards or Canvot in for him anyway, personally. Disasi will also be in front of him.
I wouldn’t wish the injury on anyone, but no great loss team wise for me. Very overrated by some I feel. Always looks far too casual and laid back for me. The silver lining will hopefully be that it’ll force the issue with bringing a centre back in or two now

I disagree, without those injuries I think he would have made a strong team member. Sadly, I think he is now finished at this level which is sad for him and us. We will never know how good he might have become?

Sadly this could be career ending - such a shame was so excited when we got him - real prospect.

But he’s already done his cruciate once and now this.

I agree with others we now need 2 quality CB’s, on top of a CDM - get Danois done - Steve.

Then we’ve got a replacement for Sarr - Nwaneri/Elliott..??

Then we’ve got the Mateta circus - I said in another thread if you believe the rumours trying to engineer a move to Spurs - so deal involving Salanke..?? Been cr@p at Spuds - but really good at Bournemouth to the point broke into the England squad.

Then you’ve got the uncertainty around Munoz.

I really feel for Sage - must be thinking WTF have I done..!!

Meantime best wishes to Riad.

COYP…!!
