Axel Disasi

is that on top of wages or inclusive?

If it's the former they can do one, the latter is c£100k a week so ok as he's reportedly on £80k a week anyway, which we'll have to pay regardless.
We have the decency to sell them Lacroix cheaply and that's how they repay us?
Perhaps they've never forgiven us over Olise and Guehi!

That sounds better but let's face it we had some good service from Loftus-Cheek, Gallagher and even Batsuayi and Chalobah.
Fair point, trouble is these days with PSR QPR 🤣 etc, transfers are more complicated, we want to loan this fella because of our balance sheets but Chelsea want to sell because of theirs

Personally I'd happily take him, not because I think he's especially good or is particularly likely to kick on and get much better, but because we are very light on experience and presence in our back three. I don't really see Disasi as a sweeper type who will play in the middle of the back three (I don't think we've got one of those) but i could imagine us switching to a back four at some stage and would be happy with Richards and Disasi in the middle, with Canvot and Riad as cover.

Watching his highlights he's a decent loan.a good passer and very solid

I did some research this evening from West Ham threads, video chats. They really rate him highly and would have loved to have signed him whether relegated or stayed up.
That gives me a lot of confidence. Seems no non sense defender and offers what we currently do not have. Give it a season then we can buy our key target(s). Other loans with Chelsea worked out great. Sage needs options in his first season to adjust to prem. I feel good about this one

Did a quick search and , yep , he’s not fast .

Interesting thing though , Canvot , Richards and Riad are all around the 35-36 speed which is where Max sits . I saw Canvot do a couple of impressive run backs to intercept last season , so maybe he’s being earmarked for that role .

Can’t remember who it was against but he played one game on the right and it was the not his best ….so whenever I see people proposing teams selections putting him on the right , I think , “ they didn’t watch that game .”

The rumour is that a loan for Disasi has been agreed, without an obligation to buy.
It’s now up to Disasi to see if he wants to join.
The benefit is that such a loan would give the club breathing space to see if Tomiyasu can stay fit and also take the pressure off Canvot and Riad and give them time to continue their development.
He’s a physically imposing and strong defender who can help us compete aerially in both boxes.
He’s generally solid while prone to the odd mistake.
It’s not ideal, but a needs must solution.

If it does happen then the outlay is reduced and I wonder if we do try to bring in Le Guen as well and then phase him in over the season like we did with Canvot last season.

Having started last season with Guehi and Lacroix in our back line with both now departed I do view our current back line as considerably weaker. The back unit featuring a few new faces is going to need some serious coaching because if we start leaking goals then it'll be tough for Sage.
