Being reported we've had 2 bids rejected by Torino for this young Swedish left winger of Gambian parentage but lodged a 3rd. Several other clubs have purportedly also made bids and if the rumour is true that our 3rd bid could result in a final fee after add-ons of between 20m and 26m euros, that's a massive gamble for a player currently valued on Transfermarkt at 3m euros.

That may be his current value, but it is not what the market will bear.

We buy for 25M euros. He is a success over two seasons. He will be 50M euros plus and will have brought revenue for the club through performance.

Oh, and massive gamble? Absolutely.

Watched his highlights. Left winger , fast , dribbles at speed with control , likes to take on and beat players , seems to be able to get out of situations you don’t expect him to get out of , great shot ….

A memory is stiring , but one thing is missing , a vital ingredient to make him a complete palace left winger ….🤔🤔

Dummy spits , petulance …. Maybe they edited them out 😳😳😳

Looks like WZ Mk 2

Interesting …..

Will we ever sign someone called Dave Smith or Tommy Brown?

I can't pronounce these scrabble names.
Well said. Oh for the days of Alf Noakes and ("Chopper") Bert Howe.

And what about that Celtic side, which was the first British club to win the European Cup (in 1967). Apparently the whole team was born within 11 miles of Glasgow, though no doubt there were a few names there with - to us southerners - unpronounceable names.

(With apologies to everyone, particularly Glaswegians, for going right off topic.)
