That may be his current value, but it is not what the market will bear.

We buy for 25M euros. He is a success over two seasons. He will be 50M euros plus and will have brought revenue for the club through performance.

And what about that Celtic side, which was the first British club to win the European Cup (in 1967). Apparently the whole team was born within 11 miles of Glasgow, though no doubt there were a few names there with - to us southerners - unpronounceable names.

If RB Salzburg is the only rival, Salzburg’s bid will certainly not be in the region of 25 million. Salzburg’s record signing to date has been in the region of around 10 million if not less. They certainly don’t have the money for a signing like that.
